I’ve been blessed to travel the world, and I know firsthand how stepping into a new country can change the way you see life. That’s why I started Thatman Cares: Travel With Purpose – Youth Sponsorship.

This year, I’m giving one young adult (20–23) the chance to join me on a Thatman Travels group trip — flights, lodging, and activities fully covered. If you’re motivated, curious, and ready to grow, this could be your shot.

  • Applicants must be between 20 and 23 years old at the time of application. This program is designed to support young adults who are in a pivotal stage of life, ready to explore the world and broaden their perspectives.

  • This ensures that all travel and visa arrangements can be handled within the program’s guidelines.

  • Must have a valid passport (or be able to obtain one within 90 days of being selected).

  • Must be able to travel on the dates of the sponsored trip and participate in all scheduled activities. Feb 26 - Mar 9, 2026

    • If living independently: Must have an annual income of $32,000 or less before taxes.

    • If living with parents/guardians: The total household income must be no more than $63,000 per year.

  • If selected, must agree to share their experience through photos, videos, and a short written reflection after the trip.

  • No pending legal cases or travel restrictions; must agree to follow group guidelines and show respect for cultural norms.

I want to be transparent about how we’ll decide who gets this sponsorship. Every application will be reviewed by a small selection committee (including me), and we’ll look at:

Character & Maturity
Traveling internationally comes with challenges. We need to know you’re responsible, self-aware, and ready to handle yourself with respect in different cultures.

Whether it’s your written answers or a short video you submit, we’re looking for clear, engaging, and expressive communication.
