Who is ThatMan?
Carey Bradshaw is the man behind ThatMan Travels. Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Carey was no stranger to travel. On the suggestion of a friend, he booked a trip to Dubai and Egypt with a Black travel group in 2015. Carey documented his journey and all the sights he visited in his signature style of photography and video, and then shared them through his social media channels — which was met with high engagement. The experience Carey had on this trip reinvigorated his love for travel, and having a flexible work schedule allowed him to combine his passion with his hobby.
As Carey continued booking trips on his own and documenting his experiences — the good, the unusual and the funny — engagement in his travel content kept increasing. Between his visual style, cheeky grin and jovial personality, it was clear that his followers could not get enough, and thus his alter ego, ThatMan, was born. As ThatMan, Carey continues to win over hundreds of people who visit his various social media profiles, share his content, and remark on his content and antics. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Carey is regularly commissioned to shoot on location in cities across the United States, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America to create stunning visual masterpieces for his clients in the travel, hospitality, entertainment, fashion and real estate industries. ThatMan Travels combines Carey’s love for travel, adventure and exploration with his keen ability to capture a mood or sentiment in still and moving images – often providing side splitting commentary or brandishing his characteristic “finger point.” This photographer/videographer-turned-travel influencer has visited more than 50 countries – frequently attempting daring feats, such as mountain climbing, scuba diving, bungee jumping, and flying a stunt plane.
